Welcome to the Respectful, Responsible Redskin home of Arcadia Middle School students. Our Respectful, Responsible Redskin initiative is our PBIS program for our 7th & 8th grade students. We began the Positive Behavior Intervention Support initiative in 2019-20 with an introduction and beginning stages of implementation. This year we have fully implemented this for our MS students. The program is a behavior and intervention teaching tool with a rewards component. A behavior matrix was created that you can review below by staff and students for multiple areas of the school (Classrooms, hallways, restrooms, bus, cafeteria etc) At the beginning of the school year our staff and I spend time each day for approximately one week taking groups of students into areas on the matrix and explain what our expectations are. Throughout the year as students are observed following the behavior expectations they receive a Respectful, Responsible Redskin card form a staff member thanking them for following our expectations. Students turn their cards into the office for a weekly drawing to earn a chance to receive a reward.
This year we have instituted a Parent Advisory group of MS parents to help us with the program. Currently the parents are going out to local community members and businesses asking for donations to help with student rewards. If any parent or community member would like to be a part of our program, please contact the HS/MS office and let us get you involved.

Low | Range: silence – whisper. To make noise at all or to speak very softly. When communicating with a whisper, only one other person in close proximity can hear you. |
Medium | Range: whisper – conversation. To speak very softly or to speak quietly. When communicating the volume level should only be loud enough for a small group of people, within 3-5 feet distance from you, to hear. Considered an inside voice. |
High | Range: presentation – loud. To speak loud enough for a large group to hear you. At times a loud voice, or an outside voice, may be acceptable during events like pep rallies, sporting events, or to gain attention during extreme emergency situations. |
