The Arcadia Preschool is in session Mondays through Thursdays. We have an AM session (7:35 - 10:35 am) and a PM session (11:35 - 2:35 pm).
We provide special needs and general education preschool services. We service children ages 3-5 years old who qualify with significant delays in the areas of speech/language, fine motor and large motor abilities, behavior, cognitive, and/or social/emotional and typically developing 4-5-year-olds. We are an inclusive classroom of children with special needs and typically developing peers who serve as role models.
Our class ratio is 1 adult per 8 students with a maximum of 16 students.
Our preschool is state-licensed and follows the preschool standards set forth by the State of Ohio. Our program was awarded a 5 Star Award by the Ohio Department of Education and the Job and Family Services Step Up To Quality. Step Up To Quality is a Five-Star Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System created to recognize and promote early learning and development programs that meet quality standards over and above the health and safety licensing requirements.
Our program follows developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) implementing the Frog Street, Incredible Flexible You and Phonemic Awareness Heggerty curricula.
Mrs. Lynn Vera is the preschool teacher.
If you suspect your child (age 3-5) may have developmental delays in one or more of the areas mentioned above and would like more information about our preschool please contact preschool supervisor Donna Losiewicz from the Hancock County Educational Service Center at 419-422-7525 for further information.
